Talking about food… Mmmm, it’s already making me hungry! But seriously, let’s review some simple cooking vocabulary.
Use the verb roast to talk about cooking any meats or vegetables in an oven. For example: roast potatoes, roast beef, roast chicken or roast onions.
Use the verb bake to talk about cooking bread or cake in an oven. For example: bake a cake, bake cookies, bake bread.
But the best way to learn cooking terms is to use them. So, here are a couple of my recipes; one for baking and the other for cooking.
