Next lesson: transport
When we talk about transportation in English, there are really only a few things to remember.
Most of the take, you take a mode of transport, for example: you take the bus, or you take a cab (taxi).
It’s also common to use the preposition by when you talk about how you are going to get somewhere. For example: I will go by bike, by train, by plane, or by taxi. By is usually paired with the verb, go.
So, today, we are going to take the bus to town. When the bus arrives, we will get on the bus. Then, we will get off the bus at our stop.
You get on the bus, the train and the subway. Then, you get off the bus.
You get in a taxi and a car. Then, you get out of the taxi.
