« I can assure you that she will be there. »

« I need your assurance that the house will be finished by the end of July. »

« Wilhem assured me that all the work would be submitted by mid March. »

To assure someone of something, is to tell them that something is abosulutely true, that what they said will happen. As in the examples above, when you use the word assure you are trying to convince the other person that: a project will be done on time, or that a person will do what they’re supposed to, etc.

« I assure you it’s true! »
